We would like to wish you a wonderful 2012! May good things come to you.

The past year has been an important year for Ming’s Pretty Heroes. We had a succesful year as music ambassador of Rotterdam, wrote, recorded and released our 2nd album “Karma” and released two singles and musicvideos. Next to that we were able to go on tour and played for thousands of people at festivals and clubs in China. It’s a list I am proud of!

Of course there have also been times of stress, tears and insecurity. It’s hard to keep a machine like this running smoothly at all times. Next to wanting a constant output for creativity it also involves a lot of organizing and it is neccesary to invest, on all kinds of levels. I don’t want to bore you with these less shiny facts though…;) We’re a strong group of people and managed to be fine, sometimes even great!

My mantra has been: Know what you’re good at, you don’t have to be modest about it. But! Also recognize what you’re weaknesses are. Find ways or people to help you with them. In adition to that I find that reflecting honestly upon all this is just as important.

I think I am gonna try to hold on to this mantra for a while in 2012 as well. Frans and I are working on an amazing and very interesting project for which I will need it! We will be playing over 40 shows in theaters in Holland and Switzerland, more info about it soon!

Here it is! The newest MPH Music Video for newest single: Out at Sea! It was filmed, directed and produced by photographer and director Marc Nolte, filmed entirely in Germany’s capital Berlin. For this video was chosen to star just Ming, the solitude reflecting upon the idea of living Beneath the Radar… Preferably watch it in HD quality!

Out at Sea, a song from album Karma, is written by Ai Ming Oei, produced by guitarist Sander van Dijck and keyboardist Frans Verburg and performed by Ming’s Pretty Heroes, so let’s not forget bassist Juan Manssens and drummer Jordi Geuens!

Today Ming’s Pretty Heroes will play at the new -already sold-out- Songbird Festival in Rotterdam! The line-up includes Maria Mena, Racoon and Dazzled Kid. At 4pm it’s showtime for Ming’s Pretty Heroes in the Eduard Flipsen Zaal. Afterwards there is the possiblity to get an autographed cd at the Velvet stand. LOVE!

We had the honor to open two sold-out concerts for Saybia! In the Effenaar in Eindhoven and Tivoli in Utrecht. Thank you Saybia for lending us your audience!
